Organizations and Groups

The following is a list of other organizations and groups who are also exploring what thought and knoweldge are doing to our world. Organizations and groups listed here do not necessarily have any association, affiliation, or connection with TKPI.

Atrium Society
The Atrium Society is a nonprofit, nonsectarian and nonpolitical organization committed to peace education for children around the world. Founded in 1984, the Atrium Society focuses on the primary factors that lead to conflict – psychological conditioned thinking and action. Our minds are conditioned by origin of birth, education and experiences. The Atrium Society works to bring this issue of psychological conditioning, and the worldwide conflict it creates, to the forefront of our awareness.

Brockwood Park School
Brockwood Park School is committed to educating young people to meet life as a whole. Academic excellence is absolutely necessary, but equal importance is given to an ongoing inquiry into the way we live our daily lives. Many of the difficulties in today’s world are the outcome of attitudes and beliefs that education for our times needs to examine.

Centre for Process Studies
The Center for Process Studies (CPS) is a research center of  Claremont School of Theology, and affiliated with  Claremont Graduate University. CPS seeks to promote the common good by means of the relational approach found in process thought. Process thought is based on the work of philosophers Alfred North Whitehead and Charles Hartshorne, two contemporary examples of a longstanding philosophical tradition that emphasizes becoming and change over static being.

Hard Rain Project
The Hard Rain Project was established as a charity in 2009 to support educational programmes for schools, universities and colleges, and public exhibitions that campaign for realistic solutions to the interlinked problems of climate change, poverty, the wasteful use of resources, population expansion, habitat destruction and species loss.

Krishnamurti Centre
Situated in the beautiful countryside of Hampshire, the Krishnamurti Centre offers a quiet retreat for those wishing to explore the teachings of J. Krishnamurti.

Krishnamurti Foundation of America
The Krishnamurti Foundation of America aims to advance the public understanding and realization of human potential for spiritual and rational living by means of the study of the teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti.

Krishnamurti Foundation of India

Krishnamurti Foundation India (KFI) was set up in 1928 as a charitable institution by Krishnamurti under the name of The Rishi Valley Trust. The name was changed to the Foundation for New Education in 1953 and then to the Krishnamurti Foundation India in 1970. The activities of the Foundation include the preservation and dissemination of Krishnamurti’s teachings, the running of schools, environmental conservation, rural education and health care.

Krishnamurti Foundation Trust
Established in 1968 as an educational charitable trust, the Foundation exists to preserve and make available Krishnamurti’s teachings, as well as to support Brockwood Park School and the Krishnamurti Centre.

Pari Centre for New Learning
The Pari Center for New Learning is located in the quiet hilltop village of Pari, Italy some 25km south of Siena. It was created by F. David Peat and Maureen Doolan as a congenial location where people can think, learn, meet together, carry out their projects and enjoy the surrounding environment and community.

SEED
The Source for Educational Empowerment and Community Development (SEED), is an organization that was founded in 1996 to bring together Indigenous and Western ways of knowing

Touch The Future
Touch The Future is an organization that aims to revoluntionarize the way local communities mentor parents and the people who care for children.

The Scientific and Medical Network
An organization that aims to provide a safe forum for the critical and open minded discussion of ideas that go beyond conventional paradigms in science, medicine and philosophy. This Network has hosted a David Bohm conference.
