Jiddu Krishnamurti

The Open Door Independant Study Centre (France)

Open Door is an independant study centre organising weekends and gatherings one hour from Toulouse, south-west France. Created simply out of one person's inquiry and interest in J.Krishnamurti, the centre in no way wishes to play the role of spiritual centre, nor pretend to be what it isn't. It is a place offering the possibility of like-minded interest to gather energy for insight and transformation.

Update: A Conversation Between Bill Angelos and Taher Gozel (Youtube)

A Conversation Between Bill Angelos and Taher Gozel (Youtube)

Bill Angelos and Taher Gozel discuss the connection between Krishnamurti and David Bohm and share their personal exploration and understanding of these two great men's ideas.

This five part interview between Bill Angelos (See Mr. Angelos's blog here) and Taher Gozel is recommended as these two men are among the few who are seriously continuing to explore Bohm and Krishnamurti's work.

Update & Correction: The Bohm-Krishnmaurti Conflict

Previously we wrote an article titled The Bohm-Krishnmaurti Conflict in which we explored a conflict between David Bohm and Jiddu Krishnamurti.  F. David Peat in his biography of David Bohm provided some information that is potentially indicative of a conflict between these two men.  However, a thoughtful viewer of the TKPI website made us aware of the following quote found in The Link Magazine by Saral Bohm in 1997:

School Without Walls

The Bohm-Krishnmaurti Conflict

There was turmoil in David Bohm and Jiddu Krishnamurti’s friendship.  The difficult part for those of us continuing to investigate the various proposals about thought is that the waters have been muddied.  Jiddu Krishnamurti has been presented in a super-human light at times, as if he were a medium for something beyond man.  Bohm too has been presented as a super-genius whom should not be questioned.  Yet for both men we have reasons to have doubts, to question, and to not accept anything they said absolutely.  Arguably both men never wanted any kind of blind acceptance or faith and

David Bohm On The Ending Of Thought

Jiddu Krishnamurti often spoke of a state or a process that takes over when one’s brain is quiet enough or freed enough from the activity of thought.  David Bohm too commented on the nature of intelligence requiring that the mechanical movements of memory responding must be arrested sufficiently so that creative and intelligent perception can take place.

An Introduction To The Teachings Of Jiddu Krishnamurti By David Bohm

My first acquaintance with Krishnamurti's work was in 1959 when I read his book, 'First and Last Freedom'. What particularly aroused my interest was his deep insight into the question of the observer and the observed. This question has long been close to the centre of my own work, as a theoretical physicist, who was primarily interested in the meaning of the quantum theory. In this theory, for the first time in the development of physics, the notion that these two cannot be separated has been put forth as necessary for the understanding of the fundamental laws of matter in general.

The Link: Keeping You Informed Of Activities In The Krishnamurti World

From Friedrich Grohe’s website we get the following description of The Link:

The Link , now in its 28th issue, serves as a liason between the various groups of people around the world interested in the teachings. Krishnamurti, who naturally served as such a link during his lifetime, had expressed concern over what would become of the teachings after his death. The Link was inspired in response to this concern.
